Fit, edge geometry and fastening details matter.
Single-shaft systems often use multiple small rotor knives against one or more stationary knives. Small differences in seat angle or hole geometry can affect cutting clearance.

- Bolt-hole size, countersink and center distance
- Number of usable edges and edge angle
- Rotor position or knife layout
- Feedstock: film, rigid plastic, wood, cable or mixed waste
